Il corso MSO (Maritime Security Officer) è stato sviluppato per soddisfare le esigenze della ISO 28007.

Il corso MSO è stato impostato per rispettare tutti i doveri di un Team di sicurezza designato a bordo come richiesto dalla Convenzione STCW (modificata a Manila 2010) Regolamento VI/6.
